I am the CHAMPION! Teasers' Revenge 2010 ROCKED!

Okay, okay, okay - before you just click away because you are a sore loser, I wanted to say....

Teasers' Revenge Fantasy Football 2010 is over. Shed that tear, because fantasy football will have to wait another year.

It took forever, but I finally pulled it off - consistent play, some underrated draft picks, and some good ol' fashioned luck was how I did it. LeSean McCoy and Matt Forte. TO and Peyton Manning. And all of this with Randy Moss imploding - just like everyone (but me) predicted.

Thanks for playing - see ya!

Some weirdness from 2010:

Cap was 2-6 and finished up the regular season at 6-7. The only team to pull off a back door entry into the playoffs. Insert funny joke here, AC.

Five teams finished the season at 9-4 - again, unprecedented parity. No one ran away with it, but the top tier was pretty damn good.

My prediction that Sam only scores 1000 points, while mostly a joke, almost came true. 1022.2 points for an average of 78 ppg. Ouch. Or another way to think about it - 40 points per dollar. On the other hand, Graham grabbed 59 points per dollar.

Drastic Turnarounds:

Graham 2009 - 4-9; Graham 2010 - 9-4
Sam 2009 - 8-5; Sam 2010 - 5-8
Steph 2009 - 10-3; Steph 2010 - 4-9
Tracy 2009 - 5-8; Tracy 2010 - 9-4

Moose 2009 - 9-4; Moose 2010 - 9-4 - booyah!

Okay, I'll leave you with this - Miss you all and can't wait to do it all over again next year.

- MOOOOOSE (your loving commish)

CHAMPIONSHIP!

Hey hey hey - I'm one of two people still looking in on the league. Anyway, I thought I would give you all an update.

I'M IN THE SUPERBOWL! Oh, and Jen is too. We'll be battling it out this Sunday if you all still care. We will definitely have a new champion this year... Yeah, I too can't believe I haven't won this league yet.

In last week's games, we had a squeaker with Jen winning by the hair on Robbie Gould's chinny chin chin. 16 points from the kicker pushes her to a 2 point win over the Cap-meister.

In a battle of the animals - Poodles v. Moose - TO landing on IR after the first series couldn't derail Moose against a flailing Tracy, who started three players with less than 1 point scored. Tough luck for a team who was a constant top scorer all year.

Who will pull it out this year? Only three days left of Fantasy Football Madness!!!

Even Favre is sad...

PS - That picture is too big to take down. Cannot be done.

Week 14 Color Co... you know what, screw it!

What a disaster! My favorites to win it all (Dagan and Graham) were both eliminated! Our on-again, off-again commissioner moves on, despite not even scoring 100 points! No one even hit 120 this week, what kind of league is this! Exclamation points!!!

But worst of all, my entire team managed to lose to Jen Lin and that show-boating wide-receiver from the Eagles. Oh, but Bret Favre is playing on Monday night, surely Sidney Rice will have a decent game and rescue me from certain doom? Of course not. Bret says "297 straight starts, but let's stop that streak tonight, ride the bench, maybe text out a few pictures of my beanbag. That's what I'll do."

Good luck to the remaining four teams, though I kind of wish they would just cancel the rest of the season at this point. Hope that doesn't sound petty.

Week 13 Color Commentary

The regular season has drawn to a close. Congrats to the playoff teams, sayonara to the losers!

Some of the interesting happenings from the final week:
- As predicted, Cappy slid in at the last second to capture the 8th seed from Foam John, thus unseating our reigning champ.
- Both Cappy and OT enter the playoffs with 6-7 records. Even losers can win in this league and, as history shows, can even take down the championship.
- Once mighty teams, the Slaters and Mundays slid down to the 4th and 5th seeds after dominating 1st place the majority of the year.
- The playoff bracket pits the two hottest teams in the league (Graham and Dagan) at opposite ends, which could lead to a predictable finale.
- Props to Graham for nabbing the top seed in the eleventh hour.

In lieu of awards, let's preview the teams that will be in the Final Four at the end of this week's slate of games...

GAME OF THE WEEK:
#6 Fear the Hoodie vs #3 Panda Poodles
No surprise with my prediction here to the literally 1 or 2 people that read the blog, Dagan will score the upset. The Poodles are just too banged up to put up a fight, although this one ends up fairly close: Hoodie 116 - Poodles 102.

WILL THE COMMISH GO DOWN?:
#7 Singapore Sling vs #2 Moose is Loose!
No need to look at the ESPN predictions on this one, just take a look at the rosters: Peyton vs. Eli, LeSean McCoy vs. Mendenhall, Forte vs. Jonathan Stewart, etc. Moose takes this one easy: Moose 137 - Sling 88.

CAN THE #1 BE BEATEN?
#8 R-Squad Sacapuntas vs #1 Captain Hindsight
Cappy's team is looking surprisingly decent. However, Graham will cruise easily with Vick and A.P. combining for minimum 50 points this week. Final score: Hindsight 141 - Puntas 108.

WHO WILL SALVAGE THEIR SEASON:
#5 AC Slaters vs #4 Case of the Mundays
Here we have two teams that peaked long, long ago. ESPN predicts 30 points from Hillis, but Jen can't keep all her eggs in one basket forever. Slaters finally get their act together and start the right lineup and win a pathetic one: Slaters 92 - Mundays 81.
