12 Down, 2 Remain: A look at the Undefeated

________________________________________

So, this week I’m taking a look at the 2 remaining undefeated teams – Team America World Police and North Pole Leisure Kings. One team is a powerhouse, drafted very well, and has just been dominant. The other team is held together by duct tape and is using smoke and mirrors very well.

Both are 3-0 and we should give them props for that. But I’ll let you decide which team is which.

SamU’s Leisure Kings are an interesting bunch. His strength is receiving and defense (nice pickup on the #1 D/ST, Sam). Johnson (no, not that one), Chambers and Burress solidify the offense with an underperforming Addai and Lewis as the running game. A surprising Manning (no, not that one) is 8th in the league at QB. Sam might have a hard time this week, with the byes. His strength is not depth. Flacco, Pittman, Lelie, and Jones come in to replace Manning, Addai, Johnson, and Burress. Not the picture of a strong bench…but you can do worse than Pittman, the Shannahan goal line back du jour. Jones also is not a bad pickup, when he’s coked up. We’ll see how Sam hold up in the long run…He has a good matchup this week against the league worst scorer – Jen. Who knows, he could wind up 4-0 anyway…

Mauger’s World Police are strong all the way around. Favre, Westbrook, Bush, Royal, Fitzgerald, Moss (no, not that one), and Witten – boy, can he score points. He’s outpaced the #2 scorer (Tracy) by close to 100, and we’ve only played 3 games! The bye week isn’t affecting him that much either, only having to replace Westbrook who’s hurt. He drafted well, because it looks like the only week with more than 3 starters on a bye is week 8 - Nice job Dave. He lines up against another fairly strong team in Dufresne’s OMG Clay Aiken is GAY?? It should be a battle.

I’m looking forward to this week’s games. Moose is favored by 55 over Klenk, who at this posting, still hasn’t changed his bye week players. NPLKs are favored by a scant 0.8 point over his woman – but watch out, Ninjas are sneaky. We also have the battle of the hyphens – T-shirts vs R-squad, fairly close here too (T-shirts, -13).

Okay, have fun this week. Check the Talk page, and we can chat it up.
