Draft Review! Round 1 - 3

Round one -

Bust - Michael Turner, hands down (Grenade Free Foundation). First off - this is a PPR League. Turner can't / doesn't catch. Second, does anyone remember the second half of last year. Oh yeah, you don't? That's because Turner didn't play. Injury risk-o-rama!

Bust Runner Up - Larry Fitzgerald (Autodrafts / R-Squad) - New QB, no other WR threats, injury history = horrible fantasy first rounder...

Star - MJD (Puddin' Pops) - Still the #1 RB in Jacksonville and he catches a billion passes. 7 games last year of over 20 pts. Nuff said.

Star Runner Up - Andre Johnson (Frank the Tanks) - PPR + #1 WR = Great pick.

Round 2 -

Bust - Cedric Benson (Durham Peach Stealers) - Okay, they've upgraded their WRs and you expect Benson to be BETTER than last year? This is Cedric Benson we're talking about - there were sooooo many RBs left, you could have had Manning, Brady, a top WR, etc. etc. etc.

Bust Runner Up - Beanie Wells (Foam John Thomas) - I don't think this offense is headed anywhere but down. Beanie Wells is banged up and Tim Hightower poaches touches all game long.

Star - Wes Welker (fear the hoodie) - PPR + Wes Welker = fantasy gold. Had 123 catches last year. Thats 61.5 points....nice.

Star Runner Up - Rashard Mendenhall (Singapore Sling) - He's a number 1 back who was just announced as the goalline back too. Yards and TDs for a team who won't throw the ball until Week 5.

Round 3 -

Bust - Jermichael Finley (Foam John Thomas) - Ummmm, let's see Gates, Clark, Davis, even Gonzalez were left on the board. But nooooo Jermichael Finley was the first TE to go in the third round. Way tippy top reach here...

Bust Runner Up - Jamaal Charles (Autodraft / R-Squad) - Autodraft blows it again. Thomas Jones may be past his prime, but he's going to get the bulk of the carries, if you can believe what the coaching staff is saying. This could mean that Charles never reaches the point totals from last year. Promising, but gonna bust out.

Star - Pierre Thomas (Singapore Sling) - Well, there went all that preseason talk that Bush was going to get more carries. Thomas got the rushing TD, he got close to 20 carries, and they threw to him too. Good combination with the NOLA offense.

Star Runner Up - Jonathan Stewart (Klenk) - Personally, I can't stand the variability. But the Panthers are a rush first team, score a bunch on the ground. If Stewart is the RB with the TDs, then he's golden. You just can't tell who'll be on each week...

More to come!
